Ledger Lite

Built a product prototype and front-end architecture for a finance dashboard used in early customer pilots.

TL;DR Ledger Lite was a fast prototype to validate whether a simpler finance dashboard could survive contact with real customer data — without committing to a full product build.

Context

The team needed something shippable in weeks, not quarters. Early pilots required believable interaction, readable data density, and enough structure that engineering could extend it without starting over.

Approach

We scoped to eight core views, shared chart primitives, and a token layer borrowed from the platform system. Every screen was designed and built in the same codebase.

Outcome

Three customer pilots ran on the prototype. Two converted to paid exploration. The architecture patterns became the starting point for the production dashboard.
